VEG RED SAUCE PASTA
Veg red sauce pasta is made with a fresh, tangy homemade tomato sauce. This tomato-based sauce is often prepared by sautéing onions and garlic in olive oil before adding fresh, tinned, or pureed tomatoes.
The ingredients are cooked an additional amount to thicken the sauce. Later, this red sauce is spiced with black pepper or red chili flakes and flavored with herbs like basil, parsley, thyme, or oregano.
Button mushrooms and assorted vegetables are used in my recipe. Feel free to omit the mushrooms from this Red Sauce Pasta dish as well as to prepare it with or without veggies.
It tastes delicious no matter how you prepare it. Vegetables are something I like to include since they bring flavor, texture, and more nutrition.
Because this red sauce pasta is so delicious, you’ll want to keep making it frequently. It takes some time to cook the pasta, sauce, and vegetables all at once.
For this pasta dish’s tomato sauce, I used my own homemade marinara sauce that was flavored with basil, garlic, and onion.
Pasta: Penne or spaghetti pairs beautifully with the hearty red sauce. I adore how the sauce adheres to the penne pasta tubes, filling every bite with flavor.
Vegetables: This tomato sauce pasta dish calls for zucchini and bell peppers, two of my favorite seasonal vegetables. You can add any vegetable, including green leafy vegetables, green peas, mushrooms, peppers, squash, and pumpkin.
