PLAIN FRENCH FRIES
Plain French fries, also known as chips, finger chips, fries, or French pommes frites, are a common side dish or snack prepared from sliced potatoes that have been deep-fried. In addition to being salted, fries are frequently served with condiments such ketchup, mayonnaise, or vinegar.
In fast-food restaurants, French fries and potato sticks are popular items. They are made by washing and peeling entire potatoes, cutting them into strips of the necessary size, eliminating the remaining surface starches by wiping or soaking in cold water, drying, and then frying.
French fries are served hot, either soft or crispy, and are typically consumed as part of a meal or as a snack, and they may be found on the menus of diners, fast food restaurants, pubs, and bars. They are frequently salted and can be accompanied by ketchup, vinegar, mayonnaise, tomato sauce, or other regional specialties. Fries can be generously topped, as in poutine, loaded fries, or chili cheese fries. Instead of potatoes, sweet potatoes may be used to make French fries. Oven fries, a baked variation, utilize little or no oil.
If you’re looking for perfectly salted French fries that are crispy on the exterior and creamy on the inside, look no further.
